A renewables portfolio does not run on one deadline but on dozens, and each has its own clock. Here are the main ones, with the provision each comes from.

Applications for a Producer Certificate are filed from the 1st to the 10th of February, June and October, every year. The next cycles:
The rule in the decision gives these dates itself. If the information system fails, though, the cycle is extended by reasoned decision, never by more than twenty days. For the platform's closing time and any extension, the announcements of ΡΑΑΕΥ (RAAEY) apply.
"Twenty days" is often quoted as if it were a single rule. It is not. There are two separate procedures, and they start from different points.
For the Producer Certificate, the licensing body asks for clarifications only once, within five days of submission, and always about material you have already filed. It sets the reply deadline itself, case by case. It is not a fixed twenty days, and if you miss it the application is rejected. So work to the deadline written in the document you receive.
For the Final Connection Offer, things are different. The grid operator asks for the additional information within twenty days and gives you a deadline that may not be shorter than twenty days. That is a floor, not a fixed deadline: you may get more time, never less.
The Final Connection Offer is valid for three years from the day it is granted. Since Law 5299/2026, though, it is not enough for it simply to be running. Within the same period you must have filed complete applications for both the Connection Agreement and the Installation Licence.
If the Installation Licence is issued while the offer is still valid, the offer and the connection agreement are extended until the licence expires, on the conditions the law sets for project milestones. Special Projects have additional extensions. More on the law in the guide to Law 5299/2026.
PV stations exempt from the Producer Certificate do not follow the three-year term. The basic rule of Law 4951/2022 gives eighteen months when the connection is to the distribution network without HV/MV substation works, thirty months when such works are needed, and thirty-six months for connection to the transmission system. So take care not to apply the three-year term of an ordinary offer to an exempt station.
The ΑΕΠΟ is valid for fifteen years, provided the data on which it was issued do not change. A shorter term can be set, with reasons.
The date that matters is not the expiry but two months before it. A renewal application counts as timely only if it is filed at least two months earlier, and only then does the old ΑΕΠΟ hold until the renewal decision is issued. File in the last week, and you are left uncovered.
The Installation Licence is valid for three years, and four for Special Projects. The law adds one year where a competitive procedure intervenes and allows an extension of up to twelve months on payment of a fee, and time under a court-ordered suspension does not count. Each extension has its own conditions and its own supporting documents.
MitOS, by Ariadne Labs, puts all these deadlines into a 90-day calendar with a live alert feed, and raises the flag while you still have time to act, not after the time has passed. Each clock is kept separately, with the grant date and the regime of each project, because one offer's three years are not another's eighteen months.
Every Producer Certificate cycle until June 2028, with a reminder one week before each window opens. One file, no sign-up.
From the first to the tenth day of February, June and October every year (ΥΠΕΝ/ΔΑΠΕΕΚ/114746/4230/2020, art. 5(1), ΦΕΚ Β΄ 5291/2020).
No. For the Producer Certificate, the licensing body sets the deadline case by case (art. 9(1) and (2) of the same decision). For the Final Connection Offer, the applicant gets a deadline of no less than twenty days, which is a floor (Law 4951/2022, art. 5(7)).
Three years from the grant, with the Law 5299/2026 obligation to file complete applications for the Connection Agreement and the Installation Licence within that validity (Law 4951/2022, art. 5(16), as replaced by Law 5299/2026, art. 14(2)). Exempt stations have their own deadlines.
Fifteen years, provided the data on which it was issued do not change. A renewal application is timely if filed at least two months before expiry (Law 4014/2011, art. 2(8) and art. 5(1) and (4)).
This page summarises provisions for information and is not legal or technical advice for a specific project. The provisions were checked in the original on 2 October 2026. Only the official publication in the Government Gazette and the announcements of ΡΑΑΕΥ and the grid operators are authoritative. Later amendments, transitional provisions and special regimes may change the picture for your project.
Permitting energy projects is a labyrinth. MitOS is the thread.
